YWP reopening measures
Due to Covid-19 the world is not as we know it and things feel a little different for everyone right now. Yorkshire Wildlife Park has introduced some changes to keep you safe when visiting. To ensure the safety of both our visitors and staff, we politely ask that you adhere to the new changes and respect 2m social distancing at all times!
To ensure that we can comply with social distancing rules on our site, there will be restrictions on the number of guests that can visit at one time. Every guest (including Annual Pass holders) must have a pre-booked reservation before visiting! Children under the age of 3 do not require a reservation.
For staff safety, there will be no facility for on the day payment at the ticket kiosks. Therefore, you will need to book your ticket to the park prior to your arrival.
From August 1st, the following arrival time slots will be availible to pre-book. You may arrive up to 45 mins after your allocated arrival time:
8am, 9.30am, 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm, 2.30pm & 3.30pm
Tickets for September onwards will be availible to book soon.
We estimate that most visitors will stay for around 3 hours however you may stay longer. The park closes at 7:30pm Sun-Thurs and 9pm Fri-Sat through August.
**Please ensure that you book the correct date and time slot as we cannot offer cancelations / refunds or make any amendments after booking!**
We are unable to accept any on-site cash payments. We do accept card payments, contactless and mobile payments (ie Apple Pay) at every location.

Yorkshire Wildlife Park re-opened on Monday 15th June for guests with a pre-booked reservation only. We can’t wait to welcome you to the park soon!

What to expect when you visit
Finally, we hope that there will not be a further lockdown or closure of the park however, who knows what the future holds. If a regional spike does occur and the unfortunate situation arises where we do re-close we will contact everyone who has booked tickets via e mail to transfer their booking into a gift voucher.
