Secondary School Conservation Leaders Conference

We're bringing together young people who want to make a real difference. On Wednesday 21 October 2026, Yorkshire Wildlife Park and the WildLife Foundation, in partnership with Harrison College, are hosting our first ever Secondary School Conservation Leaders Conference.

This is a free, half-day event at the Park for Year 9 and Year 10 student leaders, packed with expert speakers, real-world conservation stories and sessions designed to build the skills that drive meaningful change.

Who should attend

This conference is designed for secondary school student leadership teams and emerging leaders in Year 9 and Year 10. Places are limited, so early booking is strongly recommended.

What students will gain:

Hear directly from conservation professionals at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, the WildLife Foundation, Cheetah Conservation Fund, Save the Rhino and TCV (The Conservation Volunteers).

  • Develop leadership skills they can take back into their schools and communities.
  • Explore career pathways in conservation, sustainability and environmental stewardship.
  • Connect leadership learning to real-world environmental challenges.
