Trade Applications now open for our Christmas Fair 2019

The popular Yorkshire Wildlife Park Christmas Fair Experience is returning again in 2019! Traders are welcome to apply to get involved today…


Yorkshire Wildlife Park is delighted to announce the return of its Christmas Market this December on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th December 2019 and Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th December 2019.

Applications for traders to attend our Christmas Fair are now open – until 30th September 2019.

We will again be creating a ‘Christmas Fair Experience’, including children’s activities, Victorian fairground amusements, and more.

Central to this will be two market areas;

Heated Christmas Fair marquees – including crafts, gifts, food and drink produce to take home
Food and Drinks market – serving hot food and drinks for consumption at the Fair

Our aim is to create a ‘Festive Ambience’ and to enhance the shopping experience of visitors to Yorkshire Wildlife Park & Safari Village. In the lead up to Christmas, primarily, we want to attract;

Food and produce retailers
Traders from the Yorkshire region
Non-food retailers, with seasonal products and decorated stalls, which will enhance the event


Applications will be accepted until the closing date of 30th September.

We will aim to contact successful and unsuccessful applicants by 21st October.

If your application is successful, we will issue you an invoice, to be paid online via ‘Apply and Pay’s’ payment system using your credit or debit card. Due to the number of applications we receive, the only way to apply, and pay is via the online Apply and Pay system.



If you would like to sell CRAFTS, GIFTS or FOOD AND DRINK PRODUCE TO TAKE HOME, the following stall types are available; (All prices are for the full duration of both weekends).

Marquee Market Stall includes 2.4 meter stall, canopy, basic lighting £265 (+ VAT)
Marquee Market Table 1.5 meter table £199 (+ VAT)
Outdoor Pitch, approx 5m x 5m £295 (+ VAT)

If you would like to be in the Food & Drinks Market, selling FOOD, HOT OR ALCOHOLIC DRINKS FOR CONSUMPTION AT THE FAIR, the following stall types are available (All prices are for the full duration of both weekends);

Outdoor Pitch, approx 5m x 5m pitch £465 + 15% takings (ex. VAT)


You should choose your electrical requirements when you apply. The choices are 13amp (Marquee Stall) and 16amp (Outdoor Stall) power supply, at a cost of £48 per connection. Please ensure you understand the power used by your appliances. If you think you might require more than 13amp or 16amp supply (approx. 3kw), you should request additional power by supplying details.

We will NOT be able to supply additional power, after you have finalised your application.


When you apply, we require copies of your Public Liability Insurance, and PAT test certificates for electrical equipment.

Stallholders are responsible for the safety of their trading and work area, staff and equipment.  Stallholders are responsible for the safety of all products and items offered for sale.  Stall holders must comply with all relevant Health and Safety, Food Safety and Licensing laws, regulations and guidance.

If your application is successful we will request further information, which may include risk assessments, fire risk assessments and other documents and information, as evidence that you are complying with relevant standards and regulations.  It is a contractual requirement that you provide this information in full.

As a responsible business operator this information should be easy for you to supply, and we thank you in advance for your co-operation.

Please note –  if you wish to sell food you will need to supply details of food hygiene certification, and local authority registration. If you wish to sell alcohol, you will need to provide details of your Personal License.
