SUPERSTAR Katherine Jenkins is revealed today as the headline act of award-winning Yorkshire Wildlife Park’s series of Wild Live Safari Night concerts this summer.
The Mezzo Soprano singer song writer, who is officially the world’s most successful Classical Singer ever with 13 number one albums in just over a decade, will perform on Saturday August 29th.
An excited Katherine Jenkins OBE said: “I am very much looking forward to performing at Yorkshire Wildlife Park’s Safari Night finale in the summer.
“I have heard a lot about YWP and am a big supporter of all its conservation and welfare work, trying to protect some of the world’s most beautiful and endangered species from extinction.
“I can’t wait to come visit you all and bring an evening of music.”
Katherine is the first act to be announced for the eagerly anticipated Safari Nights which are returning bigger and better than ever for 2020. Other performers will be announced in the coming weeks.
Katherine will be joined by special guest and opera singer, Emanne Beasha, who will be performing alongside Jenkins on the evening.
At 11 years old, the American/Jordanian singer already holds many successes to her name. She was crowned as Arabs Got Talent winner at the age of 8 and was a finalist on America’s Got Talent in 2019. Emanne is very excited to have been invited by Katherine to perform as her special guest at Yorkshire Wildlife Park.
The events run on Saturdays from Saturday 8th August – 29th and tickets include entry to the Wildlife Park which stays open with extended hours into the evening.
The fun-packed summer events at the park, near Doncaster, also feature other attractions during the day and evening including local bands, live acoustic acts and other family entertainment.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to announce that Katherine will be the headline act at our Safari Nights finale this summer, as we’ve been eager to get Katherine to the park for some time now,” said CEO John Minion.
“We’re certain that Katherine is going to create a buzz and our visitors will be ecstatic to hear that she will be performing on stage here at the park. We look forward to welcoming her.”
