Yorkshire Wildlife Park & Safari Village Terms of Entry.


Yorkshire Wildlife Park is delighted to be able to welcome visitors back to the park however, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, there are various measures we must put in place to ensure the safety of both our staff and visitors. The terms and conditions of entry set out below will apply to your booking and we ask that you read them carefully before you submit your order to us. General admission conditions of entry

To ensure safety, there will be no right of re-entry to the park and hand stamps will not be available. Once you have exited the Wildlife Park through the exit gate, you will not be permitted to re-enter.

Please be aware that social distancing must be adhered to during your visit, if you do not adhere to staff instructions or the 2 meter guidelines you may be asked to leave the park.

NHS Track & Trace requirements for Cafés & Restaurant Indoor Seating:

Our staff and our customers are the heart of our business and we want you to enjoy your visit to the Park safely.

In order to help reduce the risk of a local outbreak of coronavirus, from Saturday 4th July, for those wishing to dine in any of the catering outlets at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, we will be taking contact details of customers (name and telephone number or booking reference number), as well as recording date and arrival time and where possible, departure time.

We will only share your details with NHS Test and Trace, if asked, in the event of a fellow customer testing positive for coronavirus. Your details will not be used for marketing purposes or shared with any other third party. In line with guidance issued by the government, we will keep your details securely onsite for 21 days. After 21 days, your information will be destroyed securely.

Please help us keep our customers, staff and the wider community safe by cooperating. Thank you for your understanding.

No pets or dogs are permitted into the Park (with the exception of assistance dogs although they will not be permitted to enter any of the walk throughs due to free roaming animals) but dogs are permitted in Safari Village. Kennel facilities are not provided. Dogs must not be left in vehicles under any circumstances.

The Park is a non-smoking area and smoking is not permitted anywhere within the Wildlife Park. This includes all types of e-cigarettes and vaping devices.

Children under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Balls and frisbees are not permitted in the Safari Village or Wildlife Park.

No barbecues or open fires are allowed in the Safari Village or Wildlife Park.

No bikes, scooters or skateboards are allowed in the Safari Village or Wildlife Park. Bike Racks are provided in the Disabled Car Park and the Safari Village Courtyard – Bikes are left at the owners own risk. We do not provide facilities to recharge mobility scooters or electric wheelchairs.

Height and age restrictions (including specific clothing requirements) apply in the Zoom Super Slide Barn and Monkey Play House. All guests must abide by the specific safety rules enforced within these locations. Please refer to safety information boards at each locations for full details.

The speed limit in the car park is 15 mph and must be kept to at all times.

Security

CCTV Cameras are in operation throughout the site for the purpose of security and the protection of visitors.

Yorkshire Wildlife Park reserves the right to ask any participant to leave the site should they behave in an inappropriate or unsafe manner.

Digital Recording and Photography

Any photographs, digital images or video recordings made during a visit to the wildlife park may only be for personal use. The sale of photographs, digital images or video recordings for profit is strictly prohibited without express prior permission. Please contact us for further details info@yorkshirewildlifepark.com. The use of Aerial Drones, radio controlled helicopters and UAV devices of any design and configuration is strictly prohibited.

By accepting these terms of entry, you agree that Yorkshire Wildlife Park may use any photographs and/or video or other recordings taken at Yorkshire Wildlife Park for sales and promotional purposes without expressed permission.

Booking Online – Day Tickets

To track the numbers of guests visiting the park at any one time, Yorkshire Wildlife Park will operate an online ticket system that will allow you to book for a specific time entry slot on a particular date. Due to the limited number of tickets available each day, tickets will only be

valid for the date and the time slot for which they were purchased. These tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable so please ensure that you book the correct date and time.

Users will be asked to create a secure account so that details of the orders placed can be accessed at a later date. It is your responsibility to ensure that the information you have supplied to us is accurate. The ticketing system can be accessed from PC, mobile devices and tablets.

Appropriate proof of entitlement to any discounted ticket is required for each visitor to be admitted under the ticket purchased.

When attending Yorkshire Wildlife Park the Day Ticket must be presented at the Entry Kiosks. You can either print out your email receipt or present your smart phone with a copy of the email receipt open on the screen. A member of the Yorkshire Wildlife Park Guest Experiences Team will then check your ticket to authenticate it prior to entry. All tickets will be scanned on entry to the park.

Booking Online – Special Events

Yorkshire Wildlife Park operate an online ticket system which is used to provide tickets for special events such as (but not limited to) Wild Live Safari Nights. Tickets purchased for specific events are only valid for those events and will only be valid on the dates specified on the ticket. These tickets are non refundable, non transferable and are subject to the terms specified for the event.

Cancellation, Refunds and Changes to Published Information

Once you have made a purchase online, you will be unable to cancel or amend your order or obtain a refund .Refunds are not available for any Experiences, Gifts, Admission Tickets or Annual Pass purchases.

Yorkshire Wildlife Park will endeavour to ensure all our animal reserves, play areas and restaurants are open at all times. However, we reserve the right at our discretion, without refund or compensation, to close any or all of the Wildlife Park at any time, including any activities scheduled as part of our advertised programme, alter our opening times, or restrict the number of people who have access.

Reasons for full or partial closure may include capacity, adverse weather, special events, safety and security reasons concerning our guests or animals, or any event outside our control. Where possible we will provide prior notice of closure, but reserve the right to act without notice.

If the whole Park is closed for any reason, we may at our discretion offer replacement tickets for admissions or experiences on an alternative date in full compensation for purchases made prior to the closure.

In the event of full closure of up to 30 consecutive days there will be no refund, compensation or adjustment to Annual Passes. In the event of full closure lasting longer than 30 consecutive days, we may at our discretion extend the length of time for which existing annual passes are valid.

Experiences

Essential Information

Ensure that you arrive around 15mins prior to your experience at the Information Station. For Giraffe experiences please arrive at the Information Station at least 30mins prior.

Due to unforeseeable circumstances, we cannot guarantee that all animals and exhibits specified will be available. Yorkshire Wildlife Park reserves the right to alter or cancel the experience at any time. We will give as much notice as possible; however this cannot always be guaranteed.

Regrettably certain guests will be unable to take part including people with relevant phobias or known allergies, pregnant women and immunocompromised individuals. Please be advised that it is your responsibility to inform us if you have any medical conditions that you or your doctor feel we should be aware of to ensure your safety.

Due to the nature of our animal experiences, some of our animal encounters may not be suitable for those with disabilities or learning difficulties. If you believe this may affect you, please contact our visitor services team before booking to discuss your individual needs.

Some experiences require participants to be quite physically fit because of the nature and demands of the experience.

We reserve the right to ask you not to continue with an experience if we feel you are not physically able to partake.

All children must be accompanied by a partaking full-paying adult for the duration of the experience (see experience prices for details. Adult 16+). The ‘Junior Ranger’ experiences does not require an accompanying adult (however can be paid for in addition if requested).

Please listen to the animal ranger at all times. Your safety as well as the welfare of the animals is their upmost priority. As such, the animal ranger can stop the experience at any time should they feel necessary.

Animal Adopters can claim a 10% discount on an Annual Pass, in exchange for the 10% voucher included in the Adoption Box. Lost, stolen or missing vouchers cannot be replaced.

Footwear (experiences only)

DO NOT wear open toed shoes – It may be necessary, for participants to use a disinfectant footbath. PLUS there is always the chance that the animals may take an interest in your toes!

Please ensure suitable, robust and comfortable footwear is worn.

Clothing (experiences only)

DO NOT wear dresses, skirts or shorts.

Please wear long trousers which you don’t mind getting dirty.

Refrain from wearing jewellery.

Pack waterproofs in case it rains and sun screen and a sun hat if your experience is booked to take place in the summer.

Changes to published Information

Yorkshire Wildlife Park reserves the right to alter the itinerary on any given day due to animal welfare or health issues, but will ensure that if this is the case then the activity will be replaced with another similar task.

Yorkshire Wildlife Park reserves the right to alter dates, times and prices or facilities for any reason without any prior notice.

The management reserves the right to move animals or make alterations or improvements. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Annual Memberships Terms and Conditions

Annual Passes are valid for one full year from the date of purchase unless otherwise specified.

Each Annual Pass requires an individual name and digital photograph of the parson; this photo will be taken at the Information Station and stored on our secure system.

Once an Annual Pass has been purchased, the Pass holder cannot cancel such Annual Pass for the purposes of obtaining a refund. Subject to consumers’ statutory rights, YWP Annual Passes are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Unlimited use throughout the year on normal days of opening at usual entry times 10.00 – 5.15 Main season, 10.00 – 3.15 Winter season. The Park is normally closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. These times and dates are subject to change.

A valid YWP Annual Pass entitles the holder to savings of up to 10% off select food, drink and retail purchases at participating locations. Please see below for more details. Offer valid from January 1st 2019.

Payment can be made by credit or debit cards only, online, or by YWP Gift Vouchers. All purchases are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Annual Pass Gift Vouchers can be purchased and must be activated within a three months from the date of purchase.

Children under the age of 3 get free entry to the Park and so do not require an Annual Pass.

Renewed passes will run from the expiry date on the annual pass holder’s’ previous card.

Passes must be produced on entry at the Ticket Kiosks and Yorkshire Wildlife Park reserves the right to refuse entry.

Annual Passes cannot be used in conjunction with Education or School bookings.

YWP reserve the right to change which areas of the park are open on a daily basis. Areas may close with little or no notice when necessary to do so.

The Park may be closed due to extreme weather conditions, pandemics or other events which are deemed to be critical.

If the Park does unfortunately close for more than one calendar month it is at the discretion of the Board of Directors if Annual Passes are to be extended.

Annual Passes may be used for free entry to events organised by the Yorkshire Wildlife Park however, some events may be excluded or have an additional entrance fee applied. Check website and event terms of entry for details.

On the presentation of a valid Annual Pass, pass holders may receive discounts and/or benefits from YWP and/or third parties. Such discounts and/or benefits are subject to change. YWP is entitled to remove, change and/or withdraw any or all discounts and/or benefits in its absolute discretion at any time and for any reason.

A saving of up to 10% will be offered to valid Annual Pass holders in participating retail and catering locations at Yorkshire Wildlife Park. To receive the saving, you must present your

valid Annual Pass card to a member of staff at the outlet prior to paying. The saving will be calculated on the total cost of the goods purchased. Discount cannot be given retrospectively. Exclusions to this offer include but are not limited to external Safari Village retailers, gift vouchers, tickets/passes, animal experiences, animal adoptions, books, confectionary, dining experiences, external catering, afternoon teas, online sales, items that have already been discounted and selected special retail lines such as Schleich, Vivid Arts, Leon Evans Art, Wilson Design collection, etc. Offers and discounts are subject to change.

Unless stated otherwise, an Annual Pass cannot be used in conjunction with any promotional offer, voucher, coupon, bundle or advance booking discount or with any discount or retail/restaurant incentive. The pass holder is only entitled to the discounts stated in these Terms or such other discounts as made available to pass holders at YWP’s discretion from time to time.

Gift an Annual Pass Renewal

Gift Vouchers are available for the renewal of an existing Annual Pass. These vouchers are valid for 3 months from the date of purchase, and the existing Pass must expire within this period. The pass holder must visit the Park, in order to redeem the voucher in person.

Annual Pass Renewals

Annual Passes can be renewed up to 3 months prior to the expiry date. The pass holder must visit the Park, in order to collect their new pass in person. Renewals will run from the expiry date of the previous pass.

General terms of entry

The YWP reserve the right to charge for parking during events. Details when appropriate will be included in the event promotion.

Annual Pass holders contact details including name, address, phone number(s) and email address, will be recorded on our secure database, for use only by Wild Life Group Ltd.

Pass holders may indicate exemption from recording email addresses, on the Annual Pass application form.

Annual Passes will be available for collection from the Information Station.

All purchases are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Expired or excessively damaged passes cannot be used for entry to the Park.

Lost or stolen passes must be reported to Yorkshire Wildlife Park and can be replaced for a small discretionary admin fee.

Yorkshire Wildlife Park reserves the right to change opening times, dates and facilities without prior notice.

The Park may be closed due to extreme weather conditions.

All visitors to the Park, including Annual Pass holders, are subject to Terms & Conditions as set by Yorkshire Wildlife Park (see above).

YWP reserves the right to amend or alter these terms and conditions when necessary.

Afternoon Teas

Afternoon Teas must be booked 48 hours in advance and full payment must be taken on booking. If you have any dietary requirements please let us know at time of booking either over the telephone or by e mailing bookings@yorkshirewildifepark.com stating the day and time of your bookings.

Afternoon Tea bookings can be transferred if the request is made 48 hours prior to the booking but are non-refundable.
