The award-winning Yorkshire Wildlife Park is looking for 70 new staff in a New Year jobs boost for the region.
The park is gearing up for the 2018 season and will be interviewing for a range of posts for all levels of experience from catering assistants to experienced animal rangers.
“We need more staff to join the team at YWP for the 2018 season across a variety of roles,” said CEO John Minion.
“We have come a long way over the last eight years and we intend to continue to build on our excellent reputation as a fantastic family day out and also play an important role in animal conservation.
“The park’s success is built on the passion and drive that our staff team has to provide exceptional customer service across all departments. It is an incredible environment to work in for an organisation that does a lot of good work – and the animals mean so much to them and our guests.”
The park has contributed more than £12.5 million to the local economy since it opened and the number of animals has grown to more than 400 across 70 different species.
YWP has ambitious expansion plans for the future to provide more facilities to enhance its position as a unique destination and continue its acclaimed conservation work with at-risk and endangered species. This will bring even more jobs to Doncaster in the future.
The jobs are in the following departments: grounds, IT, retail, catering, cleaning, leisure services, visitor services and two posts in the Animal Department for those with specialist experience. More details can be found on the park’s website with closing dates for applications throughout January.
