We understand the safety of your group is paramount. We have tried to provide all the information you may need to ensure your visit runs as smoothly as possible. Please see the Important Information page for FAQ’s on Covid-19 safety measures which are in place at the park. If you have any further questions please ring 01302 535 057 EXT 77 to talk to the education team or alternatively email

We recommend all schools send a member of staff to visit the park before the day of your visit. Once you have made a booking one teacher per class can visit the park free of charge to plan your visit and carry out your own risk assessments. You can also download a pre-visit form here.

We require all children under the age of 16 to be supervised at the park, this is inclusive of play areas, classroom sessions and eating areas. We provide 1 free adult place for every 5 paying children and 1 in 10 for secondary – we recommend your group take full advantage of this. You can pay for additional adults if necessary.

Visiting schools are responsible for their students’ first aid needs, please ensure all adults in your party know this. If school parties split into smaller groups then it is the responsibility of the supervising adult to contact the school’s first aider. We do sell a range of items including plasters & wet wipes in the vending machines located inside the monkey play house.

If a serious incident occurs and the school’s first aiders require assistance then please notify the nearest member of YWP staff and an emergency first aider will attend.

We are proud to hold the Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge. This means we have pledged to engage in an ongoing process to sustain high quality learning outside the classrooms and we meet all of the Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge indicators. We also have the covid-19 secure certificate from Kaddi, the only activity search site linked to the LOTC site. Click here for a copy of the certificate.

We have public liability cover, if you require a copy of this please contact:

Below are the available risk assessments for visiting schools, however we do recommend schools prepare their own and we do provide pre-visits to do this.
